What is a Reverse Ultimatum?
For starters, it's much more subtle than
a regular ultimatum.
Here's a great truth about men and marriage:
No man wants to enter into a lifetime commitment
with a woman when he sees their relationship as
one of frequent conflict.
A verbal ultimatum is a MAJOR conflict in a
man's eyes.
To a woman, it may seem that she's asking for
what she wants. To a man, it can seem like an
argument over what's going to happen with
the rest of their lives!
Call it what you want, but an ultimatum is
a demand for a commitment.
What a bad way to start out your lifetime
commitment! How much better to let nature
take its subtle course!

the nuances, rather than a round table
discussion.
A verbal demand is a sign of a weak and shaky
position.
Instead of getting the desired answer, you
instead put yourself in a combative position -
more conflict.
That's exactly what makes a man want to bail.
Does he want a lifetime of strife? Do we??
When you avoid putting your desire for commitment
into words, you're free.
You're not boxed into any particular stance on
your relationship.
You're not expressing unhappiness with the
relationship.
You're not expressing disapproval of his actions.
